Displacement People

Since late 2021, escalating conflict in Myanmar has forced large numbers of civilians in Sagaing Region to flee their homes. As the number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) has grown, they now face severe socio-economic hardships: widespread food insecurity, inadequate shelter, limited healthcare services, and disruption of children’s education.

Since 2023, under the leadership of Venerable Sayadaw, IBEC has been collaborating with NGOs and INGOs to provide assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) through the following initiatives:

  • Provision of food and essential items
  • Provision of medicines and healthcare services
  • Addressing educational challenges for children
