Earthquake victims

On March 28, 2025, a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar, causing widespread destruction across the country. Religious buildings, homes, and infrastructure were severely damaged, with significant losses reported. Particularly affected were the regions of Mandalay, Sagaing, and Naypyidaw, where the impact was most devastating.

As IBEC, led by the Venerable Sayadaw, we established connections and cooperated with international NGOs and INGOs to conduct emergency relief operations and provide reconstruction assistance. We partnered with domestic and international donors to deliver emergency food and medical supplies, and to donate for the restoration of major monasteries and other religious buildings.
